Head of Engineering / Technical Lead – Blockchain Offline

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering / Technical Lead to lead the technical strategy and development of a blockchain-based protocol. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Web3 technologies, tokenization, and AI modules, along with strong leadership skills to manage technical teams and collaborate with the developer community. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contract development, and scalable distributed systems.

In the first months, the focus will be on creating a 3-6 month action plan, setting up key technical processes, and scaling the development team.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the technical roadmap in line with business objectives.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between product, engineering teams, and the developer community.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of the protocol.
• Engage with developer communities, represent the project at industry events, and drive adoption.
• Lead the technical hiring process, including screening and interviewing developers.
• Mentor and support the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing scalable and efficient solutions.
• Define and execute a 3-6 month action plan focusing on team growth and project expansion.
   

Requirements

• Proven experience in blockchain development and Web3 technologies.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and security best practices.
• Strong background in distributed systems, scalability, and microservices.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: TypeScript, Go, Rust, Python, or Kotlin.
• Experience with API design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and collaborative project management.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and team mentoring.
• Understanding of tokenization and AI modules.
   

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Cosmos SDK and Tendermint.
• Knowledge of Wasm (WebAssembly) for smart contract development.
• Understanding of IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) protocol.
• Experience with modern web frameworks like React.
• Familiarity with knowledge representation frameworks (RDF, JSON-LD).
