Puppet Enterprise Consultant (Puppet Enterprise, Ukraine) Offline

The Client urgently requires a Puppet Enterprise Consultant to support a critical project.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Upgrade or Install Puppet Enterprise Infrastructure
• Perform the upgrade or installation using the Forge module PEADM.
• Upgrade or install the Puppet Primary infrastructure:
• Upgrade/install Puppet primary and replica (if applicable).
• Upgrade/install compile master(s) (if applicable).
• Verify Upgraded Infrastructure Functionality:
• Validate all PE Infrastructure servers are successfully receiving catalogs.
• Ensure functionality of Code Manager, r10k, and CD4PE Puppet code deployment.
• Confirm functionality using PE support tools (e.g., puppet infrastructure status, puppet tuning, puppet infrastructure support).
• Deploy and verify Puppet Metrics as necessary.
• Review and implement the Puppet Backup Process where applicable.
• If appropriate, verify the functionality of the Puppet primary replica by temporarily disabling the primary Puppet master.
• Update Puppet Enterprise Agents:
• Ensure the upgraded Puppet Enterprise infrastructure manages systems with updated Puppet Agents.
• Verify Puppet Agents are successfully processing catalogs from the upgraded infrastructure.
• Migration Strategy and Code Modifications:
• Develop a defined strategy for the migration of all nodes.
• Implement any necessary modifications to the Customer’s Puppet code to enable the upgrade.
• Support Handover:
• Complete a comprehensive Support Handover for the newly upgraded infrastructure.

• Overall DevOps, CI/CD
• Docker, k8s

Would be a plus:

• Ruby, Python, Any Clouds
