We are developing an innovative neighbourhood social networking app that helps people connect with their local community. Our application combines social networking features with location-based services to create meaningful connections between neighbours.

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior+ React Native Developer with 3 years of experience to join our growing development team. Working under our experienced Tech Lead, you’ll be contributing to exciting features including social sharing, real-time chat systems, interactive maps, and various community engagement tools.

Responsibilities

- Implement new features and maintain existing functionality in our React Native mobile application

- Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement visual changes and improvements

- Transform design into responsive and performant mobile interfaces

- Ensure consistent user experience and visual coherence across the application

- Collaborate with our backend team to integrate APIs and ensure smooth data flow

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions

- Execute tasks independently while receiving guidance from the Tech Lead

- Debug issues and optimize application performance

- Handle visual refinements, animations, and UI polish

- Contribute to improving the overall user interface and experience

Required Qualifications

- 3 years of professional experience with React Native development

- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript

- Experience implementing complex UI designs and visual components

- Strong eye for detail and passion for creating polished user interfaces

- Experience with state management in React applications

- Familiarity with mobile app deployment processes for both iOS and Android

- Experience with version control systems (Git)

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

- Experience working with REST APIs and handling asynchronous data flows

Bonus Skills

- Experience with Fastlane for mobile app deployment

- Knowledge of Mapbox mapping solutions

- Experience with real-time features (WebSocket, chat systems)

- Understanding of mobile app performance optimization

- Experience with mobile app analytics and crash reporting tools

- Knowledge of app store submission processes

- Experience with animation libraries in React Native
