CapsLock is looking for a skilled and proactive QA Team Lead to lead a talented team of QA engineers, actively participate in product testing, and drive the evolution of our QA processes. In this role, you’ll oversee the delivery of effective testing solutions, set and maintain QA best practices, and ensure product reliability and quality. This position requires a balance of hands-on testing expertise and leadership skills, with a focus on continuous process improvement and close collaboration with other departments.
Job Description:
- Hands-On Testing: Actively participate in testing, supporting the team in complex and priority tasks.
- Documentation Review: Review and approve test documentation.
- Oversee Test Execution: Coordinate the creation and execution of test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate QA tasks and resources effectively to achieve project goals.
- Contribute to Project Planning: Participate in project planning and task estimation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to integrate QA across development stages.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and quality standards.
- Drive Process Improvements: Continuously improve QA methodologies in line with industry standards.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Provide regular feedback through performance reviews.
- Lead and Manage: Lead the QA team to ensure high standards of product quality.
Support and Develop Team Members: Share knowledge with the team, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their skills.
Skills & Background
Experience:
• 5+ years in quality assurance
• 2+ years in a leadership role, with a proven record of successfully leading QA teams
Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Proficient in bug tracking and test management tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes (nice to have)
Leadership and Communication:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to share expertise, provide constructive guidance, and assist team members in creating and achieving their Personal Development Plans (PDPs) to support their growth and development.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Organizational Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Certifications:
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
