Marketing Analyst

Oddity's second brand, SpoiledChild (https://www.spoiledchild.com/), defines and builds the future of beauty by using Oddity’s unparalleled technology to connect people with superior, painstakingly tested, beauty products.

 

We are looking for a Marketing Analyst for the performance marketing and retention teams. The primary focus for the person on this position would be to:

  • Improve and optimize existing reporting, build new dashboards
  • Support the team with analysis requests, initiate research questions 
  • Proactively find and investigate bugs in the data funnel
  • Execute strategic projects

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build, and refine our data and analytics infrastructure
  • Work hand-in-hand with data engineers to ensure smooth processes and operations
  • Create and maintain marketing KPI reports and dashboards, monitor them every day to catch any unusual metrics trends, errors and timely fix them 
  • Constantly measure, analyze, and produce insights and visibility on process performance to keep improving our marketing efforts
  • Support upper management in tasks that will bolster the bottom line, profitability, user satisfaction, product recommendations, or strategy
  • Explore new and emerging acquisition and retention opportunities, surfacing new ideas that may lead to breakthroughs in growth or challenges
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for the team and identify factors to improve acquisition performance and user retention
  • Innovate across the broader team to drive cross-functional initiatives to develop, test, and scale new ways in which we can optimize and personalize our offerings
  • Execute analyses with an unwavering commitment to accuracy, focusing on all relevant details, thinking through edge cases, asking questions where you are unsure, and always sense-checking and spot-checking your own work

TOOLS

Your day-to-day toolbox will include some of the below platforms/capabilities: 

  • SQL (PostgreSQL / Redshift, including DDL and DML), 
  • Looker (LookML, dashboards creation), 
  • Excel

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST: B2+ level of English proficiency (main communication language in the company)
  • MUST: Experience querying data warehouses (SQL), analyzing data, and arriving at insights using qualitative techniques 
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.)
  • 1+ years experience as a Data Analyst. Preference towards those with experience as a data analyst focused on acquisition and retention at an e-commerce / D2C brand with a high volume of complex data 
  • In case of no experience in the analytics field, it is required to have at least 2 years of corporate experience in the related business-oriented fields 
  • Experience with at least one of the visualization tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) - links to the portfolio are welcome
  • Experience in a fast-paced, start-up environment with the ability to quickly get up to speed, iterate, and take on other projects
  • Good communication skills with top-level management and the ability to explain complex analysis in simple words and insights 
  • Solid understanding of statistics

     

WOULD BE A PLUS

  • Experience with Python scripts for data analysis 
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes
