Data Engineer (Azure)

At Uvik Software, we are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and take on the challenge of optimizing and expanding our data warehousing solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting product marketing and growth teams through effective data management, modeling, and visualization while working with cutting-edge technologies like Azure and Apache Airflow.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large datasets using Azure Data Engineering tools.
• Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Implement data modeling best practices to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to meet data infrastructure needs.
• Optimize data systems and resolve bottlenecks for improved performance.
• Utilize Apache Airflow to orchestrate and monitor workflows.
• Work closely with DevOps to integrate data solutions into CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
• Document workflows and system architectures to ensure transparency and maintainability.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven expertise in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
• Experience in Azure Data Engineering, including designing and managing complex data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Cloud Build.
• Knowledge of bash scripting and git for automation and version control.
• Experience with large-scale data processing in cloud environments.
