For a very successful international company in the Aviation world based in Tel-Aviv, we seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented technical writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation, including manuals, guides, and online help, that meets our users' needs. You will work closely with main knowledge holder in the company. She has all the business logic ouf our very complexed ERP system. there are not documentation currently, so you will have to build everything almost from scratch and lead the way of our technical writing.
Key responsibilities
Our ideal technical writer will carry out the following responsibilities regularly:
- Documentation creation. Develop and maintain technical documents, including user manuals, product guides, and API documentation, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and user-friendly.
- Collaboration. Work closely with subject matter experts, such as engineers and developers, to gather and interpret complex technical information.
- Content structuring. Organize and present information logically and coherently, making it accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Editing and proofreading. Review and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy, adhering to company style guides and standards.
- User-centered content. Focus on creating content that meets end-users' needs, making technical information easy to understand and use.
- Tool proficiency. Utilize various documentation tools and platforms to create, manage, and publish content.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who have the following qualifications:
- Fluent C2 level English - a must
- Proven experience as a technical writer.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them in simple terms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and developers.
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or MadCap Flare.
A degree in technical communication, English, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred skills
- Experience with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and version control systems.
- Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
