Senior DevOps Engineer

To help us build functional systems that improve the customer experience we are now looking for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and capable home-based 100% remote DevOps Engineer to our team. The candidate for this position must be flexible to take on various projects with a can-do attitude.

Objectives of this Role

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Deploy updates and fixes
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field (preferred, not mandatory)
• Experience with AWS infrastructures: VPC, EKS, RDS, EC2, ELB, S3, ElastiCache;
• Knowledge of Kubernetes core components, Dockers, and Helm;
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Radis;
• Strong experience of administration linux distributions (Debian/Centos/Ubuntu/etc);
• Experience with monitoring systems: Prometheus stack;
• Ability to write complex scripts (shell/python);
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD
• Understanding of: TCP / IP, DNS, Load-balancers, PKI / TLS / SSL, and network security.
