DevOps Engineer for LanguageWire (offline)

On behalf of LanguageWire, Ciklum is looking for a DevOps Engineer, to join the Kyiv team on a full-time basis.

At Languagewire we have built a strong product platform based primarily on Microsoft technologies stack. Now we’re committed to taking this platform to the next level and to embrace the latest technology. Our journey will take use to state-of-the-art container-based deployment, Kubernetes and solutions like Azure Service Fabric or AKS. We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our existing team of 2 DevOps engineers, helping implementing automation of our landscapes and the transformation to a container-based approach, as well as supporting various existing primarily windows-based services deployment and operations.

You’ll work with an enthusiastic team of 50+ skilled software developers and IT engineers across two development centers in Kyiv and Gdansk. You’ll report to the DevOps Team Lead.

Responsibilities:
Support production operations and high availability of our services, communicating and supporting Developers on issues and enquiries;
- Configuration of build pipelines to enhance our automated build environment;
- Improve our continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines through the adoption of new tools or the development of automation scripts;
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions using ELK and Azure Application Insights;
- Mentoring and advising the software engineering team on deployment best practices for easy configuration, release and deployment management.

Requirements:
- Experience with Microsoft Server technologies stack;
- Experience with Cloud and Hybrid environments, preferably Azure;
- Experience with configuration management tools (like one of: Chef, Ansible or Puppet), understanding infrastructure as a code concept;
- Experience with TFS and configuration of CI / CD build pipelines;
- English Intermediate+ (both written and spoken, your Team-lead is English-speaking);
- Highly communicative, team player;
- Service-mind altitude;
- Focused on the effective delivery, work under pressure, prioritization in multitasking environment.

Desirable:
- Experience with Docker operations and Docker image building;
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Experience with Linux;
- Experience with bash scripting.
