Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance for complex software systems, with a focus on automation and manual testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our clinical trial platform, working closely with developers, data scientists, and product managers. Your expertise will help us deliver a robust and secure product that meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, including manual and automated testing approaches, to ensure the quality of our platform.
• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestCafe).
• Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and regression tests. Document and track issues, working closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Performance and Load Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the system can handle high traffic and large datasets efficiently.
• Compliance and Security Testing: Ensure the platform complies with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Perform security testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide feedback on design, and ensure testability of new features.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in quality assurance.

Key Qualifications

• Extensive QA Experience: Proven experience in QA roles, with a strong focus on test automation and manual testing. Experience in testing complex, data-driven applications is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestCafe) and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python). Strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycle.
• Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and techniques.
• Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in the context of software testing.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
