Software Test Engineer (Python)

We’re seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Software Test Engineer (Python) to join Materialise. In this role, you’ll be part of an international team of passionate professionals dedicated to making a difference in the world of medical innovation


Responsibilities:

— Extend and maintain Python test framework for test automation.

— Handle and maintain Python-related test automation process.

— Create functional tests with a focus on UI interaction (familiarity with PyQT is a plus).

— Perform manual acceptance/regression testing.

— Perform bug registration and verification of resolved bugs.

— Create test documentation by established procedures.

— Perform manual regression testing, functional (according to functional TPs) and non-functional (performance, exploratory).

— Participate in planning/grooming sessions, and provide estimations for delivery-scoped and tech tasks.


Requirements:

— 2+ years of experience in writing custom test frameworks.

— At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English.

— Experience in API testing, and automated testing.

— Good knowledge of writing automated test scripts using Python.

— Experience with bug-tracking systems.

— Functional and non-functional testing experience (e.g. regression, integration, security, performance, UAT, smoke, etc.).

— Understanding of SDLC in an Agile environment.

— Attention to detail, sense of curiosity, willingness to take responsibility and show initiative, proactive person.

— Good knowledge of different testing methods and techniques.

— Experience in desktop testing is considered a benefit.

— Experience in medical, CAD, and image processing software testing is considered a benefit.

— Experience with PIL/Pillow or alternatives considered as a benefit.

— Experience with testing applications, created using QT is considered a benefit.
