Node.js Developer (Game Development Backend) $1500-2500 Offline

About the Position:

We are on the hunt for a skilled Node.js Developer with a strong background in backend development, particularly within the gaming industry. This remote, flexible role calls for a developer who can construct robust backend services and APIs to support game functionality and user interactions. Familiarity with DevOps practices is a significant advantage, as it will facilitate more efficient deployment and operation of game services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.

- Collaborate closely with front-end developers and game designers to integrate APIs with game functionalities.

- Ensure system consistency and improve user experience by optimizing application performance.

- Manage server-side logic and work on high-performance applications with databases.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the development process.

- Implement security and data protection settings.

- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

- Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance optimization.

 

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience as a Node.js developer.

- Proven experience as a backend developer in game development, with a solid understanding of backend coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries.

- Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS) is preferred.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Experience with databases, web sockets, and server management.

- Strong knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (e.g., Express, StrongLoop, etc.).

- Understanding of DevOps tools and practices is highly desirable.

- Excellent programming skills and a good understanding of project management.

- Ability to document thoroughly and test driven development (TDD).

- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach.
