Embedded Engineer Offline

We are currently seeking an Embedded Engineer (Video products) to join the dynamic team of firmware, digital hardware, and RF hardware engineers at our client's American technology company. Join their global team and work on cutting-edge projects involving working with security cameras and video processing, particularly encoding/decoding.

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++ on Linux/Unix platforms;

- Proficiency with ARM processors and embedded Linux systemsARM processors and embedded;

- Familiarity with H.265;

- Proficient with Git, including merging and rebasing;

- Fundamental understanding of electronic circuits;

- Experience in working with embedded Linux systems, including cross-build, flash, boot, system initialization, rootfs packaging, fault-tolerance, IPC, and embedded file systems;

- Familiarity with embedded distributions such as Yocto, buildroot, and OpenWRT;

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of Linux kernel

- Experience with System on Chip (SoC), preferably multimedia-focused;

- Experience in video processing, streaming, and encoding/decoding;

- MPEG experience;

- Familiarity with OpenCV for image processing, tuning, and enhancement;

- Strong programming skills in C/C++ with knowledge of Object-Oriented Design/Programming (OOP/OOD);

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field;

Tools:

- Proficiency in ANSI C, Git, Linux kernel, and embedded development tools (toolchain, OpenWRT, SW/HW debuggers, scripting).
