AQA Tech Lead Offline

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region Mobilunity is looking for an AQA Tech Lead for a long-term engagement.

 

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to make this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, working on the edge of what current fintech may offer.

 

Overview:

As the AQA Tech Lead at our organization, you will spearhead the initiative to establish, evolve, and enforce comprehensive automation testing practices. This leadership role is pivotal for ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our suite of digital products. The AQA Tech Lead will strategize and guide the AQA team and collaborate with various departments to elevate our software quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Strategy & Best Practices

Develop and implement a comprehensive automation testing strategy for our digital products;

Establish automation best practices, guidelines, and standards to be adopted across the organization.

 

2. Framework Development & Enhancement

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust automation frameworks to support various applications and platforms;

Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and technologies to enhance automation capabilities.

 

3. Team Leadership & Mentorship

Lead and mentor the AQA team, fostering an environment of learning and continuous improvement;

Plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of quality outcomes.

 

4. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless and continuous delivery;

Collaborate with the platform and development teams to optimize testing within the deployment pipeline.

 

5. Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with various stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and provide insights;

Communicate testing strategies, standards, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

6. Performance Metrics & Reporting

Establish key performance metrics for automation testing and monitor the effectiveness regularly;

Present test results, metrics, and insights to leadership and relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making.

 

Requirements:

🐳 Extensive experience as an AQA Engineer with a track record of establishing automation practices

🐳 Proven leadership experience in guiding and mentoring teams

Proficiency in various automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar

🐳 Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, ideally with exposure to Azure DevOps

🐳 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

🐳 Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

 

Preferred:

🐳 Master’s degree in a relevant field

🐳 Experience in the banking or financial sector

🐳 Certifications in software testing, leadership, or relevant technologies
