iSeries Administrator AS400 Offline
OVERVIEW
Providing technical AS400/iSeries administration, guidance for the maintenance, updating, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning of various iSeries software components in a timely and efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Network TCP/IP Configuration and Troubleshooting with Interfaces, Domain Setting, Host Table Entries, and HTTP & Digital Certificate Management
Develop/modify IBM iSeries applications, reports, tables, business views, data structures, and business functions.
Security Administration and troubleshooting including Managed service accounts, Security Admin site accounts, Privileged /IBM accounts and Operational accounts. All security debugging issues and System Security settings
Systems Management working with all BU Teams for upgrades, resource planning and planned outages. All problem determination for any system resource issues
Operations configuration including System start/stop processes, disk and subsystem configuration. Support all inhouse operational toolsets including job scheduling, Mimix Replication software and DR planning/testing, BRMS backup configuration and processes. All problem determination for operational issues
Software support for IBM iOS and IBM I Client Access Solutions including 5250 Emulation, Data Transfer, ODBC. Daily monitoring and support of all third-party software installs and configuration.
Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum 5 years of iSeries Administration experience
JD Edwards World ERP Software experience
Experience with utilities such as Patrick Townsend (FTP & SFTP), MaxAva, Implementer, BSAFE, ROBOT, Catapult
Experience with third-party applications such as Vertex, Create!Form, Total400, DBU, TL Ashford Bar Code, EXTOL, Standguard Anti-Virus, Messenger Plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
