We are seeking a skilled and experienced SharePoint Migration Engineer to join our team. As a SharePoint Migration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in migrating sites, data, and content from various sources to SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of data and applications, while maintaining data integrity and minimizing disruptions to end users.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and execute the migration of SharePoint sites, data, and content from diverse sources to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams platforms.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the migration scope, including user access rights, metadata, workflows, and permissions.

· Assess existing infrastructure, identify potential risks and challenges, and develop migration strategies to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.

· Utilize ShareGate or similar migration tools to execute the migration process, including site mapping, content mapping, and data validation.

· Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including migration plans, technical specifications, and user guides.

· Perform thorough testing and validation of migrated content to ensure accuracy and functionality.

· Provide end-user support and training to ensure a smooth transition to the new SharePoint environment.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT administrators, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals.

· Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and SharePoint platform updates to continuously improve migration processes and enhance system performance.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Proven experience as a SharePoint Migration Engineer, with a strong track record of successfully delivering SharePoint migration projects.

· Proficiency in using ShareGate or similar migration tools to execute SharePoint migrations.

· In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams platforms, including site structures, permissions, workflows, and content types.

· Solid understanding of SharePoint governance, security, and compliance best practices.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve migration issues effectively.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple migration projects simultaneously, while adhering to timelines and delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Microsoft 365

· Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Associate or similar certifications.

· Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation.

· Familiarity with other migration tools and methodologies, such as Metalogix, AvePoint, or Microsoft Migration Manager.

· Knowledge of Office 365 and Azure services related to SharePoint, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, and Microsoft Graph API.
