Senior PHP Back End Engineer (SRE) Offline

What you will do:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex distributed systems handling millions of queries per second, petabytes of data, and develop solutions that have a significant impact at our massive scale.

- Collaborate with software engineers to sustain and optimize service availability, reliability, and performance.

- Work and collaborate with the diverse hardware, software, and networking teams throughout the company to design next-generation distributed platforms and systems.

- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack – hardware, software, application, and network.

- Advocate for SRE Best Practices across a large number of projects and teams within ELC.

- Sustain data privacy and service security compliance.

- Build and deploy performant and secure code to production following coding standards and set KPIs.

- Be able to dedicate time for self-investment through training, certifications, and research.

Must haves:

- 4+ technical experience in at least one of PHP, JS, Python, Elixir, or Perl.

- To be truly language agnostic, you need to be agile to pick up new languages and skills and deliver new solutions to unexpected problems. With your continual learning, you should be across the trends within the technology space and be able to help future-proof solutions.

- Understand Cloud Native Design Patterns, Services; Spearhead cloud transformations of legacy and monolithic applications to cloud-hosted microservices architectures.

- Experience in architecting solutions.

- Expert-level skills in enterprise application languages, development tools, and best practices.

- Ability to both work remotely and travel when required.

- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture concepts and understanding of high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and security requirements.

- Communicating effectively with different stakeholders comes naturally to you.

- Experienced working in an agile environment.

- A good balance of Pragmatism and Dogmatism.

Experience in writing automation scripts, building application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts for early determination of issues

- A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement

- Relevant experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or similar.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or related field. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months of experience

- Solution Design and Responsibilities include designing the essential core building blocks that make up a technical solution
