Data Engineer / BackEnd $5000-7000 Offline

We are a venture-backed seed stage startup, founded by two Harvard alumni.

We're transforming the US social impact sector by building an end-to-end suite of fresh, intuitive

technology products to help nonprofits and funders maximize their impact at every stage - from

initial due diligence to final grant.

Our first product - Ecosystem Intelligence - is a Business Intelligence platform for the nonprofit

world. It enables grantmakers and fundraisers to analyze any nonprofit ecosystem, anywhere in

the country (who's involved, how they're connected, key financials + funding insights and more).

What’s the role?

It’s a super exciting time with us! We already released our first product a few months ago , the

Ecosystem Intelligence product, and are about to launch a whole new product for prospecting.

We already have more than 4K users using the platform, and the numbers are constantly

growing.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data enthusiastic Backend Engineer to join our

team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our

data infrastructure and backend systems. You will work together with the development team to

ensure efficient and reliable data processing, storage, and retrieval. You will play a critical role in

building scalable and performant data pipelines and backend services to support our

data-driven initiatives.

Specifically, you will:

● Design and develop robust data pipelines and backend systems to ingest, process,

transform, and store large volumes of data.

● Build scraping infrastructure.

● Help optimize our data pipelines and workflows.

● Build pipelines that will ingest new types of data into our platform

● Work with the rest of the development team on building and extending our platform and

products.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for smart, proactive Data/BackEnd professionals. An ideal candidate will:

● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

● 6+ years of experience as a BackEnd/Data Engineer.

● Expert in Python.

● Experience in building Data pipelines.

● Expert in SQL.

● Experience with NoSQL DBs (neo4j, Elastic etc).

● Experience in building scrapers and crawlers is a plus.

● Experience with React + TS is a plus.

● Experience with the AWS environment is a plus.

● Have terrific communication skills, drive and personal responsibility.
