Senior/Principal Backend Software Engineer (only Poland) Offline

Become the newest technical engineer in Toshiba’s Digital Solutions group. This position will focus on building the Bigdata analytics platform using Azure on top of our cloud native platform using Microservices and OpenAPI. This opportunity will provide the candidate the chance to work on a microservicesbased platform and help code, lead and design functional deliverables of our Data solutions Big data Analytics Platform.

You’ll be working alongside other experienced engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our platform.Qualified candidates will have strong leadership, be forward thinking, self-motivated and bring excellence to the development and customer experience.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 8+ years professional experience in software development

• 3+ years of cloud based or client/server developmentexperience.

• Ability to convert technical specifications from the design team or third-party vendors into software implementation.

• Experience building and supporting cloud based and client/server applications.

• Strong analytical and Java programming skills

• Experience in Cloud and Big Data technologies such as PowerShell , SQL, ADLS/Blob, Spark/SparkSQL, Databricks.

• Knowledge of Swagger and REST design

• Deliver high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.

• Develop and deploy performant web applications in modern frameworks. Strong programming and analytical skills, problem determination and debugging, attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.

• Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life cycle, especially Agile methodology

• Proficiency with code versioning tools like Git

• Proficiency with Windows- and Linux-based operating systems, including software installation, light administration and simple scripting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience implementing data migration and data processing using Azure services: ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Synapse/DW, Azure SQL DB, Event Hub, IOT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Service, HDInsight, Databricks Azure Data Catalog, Cosmo Db, ML Studio, AI/ML, etc.

• Experience in developing data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for big data, relational databases, NoSQL and data warehouse solutions

• Experience in Azure CloudOPs and DevOPs.

• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies

• Knowledge of non-relational databases

• Experience working on Azure SQL Server.
