Middle Automation QA (Python/Squish) the Avid Audio Project Offline

We are looking for a talented Python/Squish Automation QA to be a member of the Audio Products development team, which creates and maintains several products in our Audio product portfolio including cutting-edge audio production devices.

The AVID ProTools team is focusing on Pro Tools Family development. Pro Tools intends to compose, record, edit, and mix high-quality music or sound for movies on a Mac or PC using Pro Tools, the industry-standard audio production platform. Design the perfect setup for your needs with a wide array of Pro Tools solutions — from hardware interfaces and consoles to software, plug-ins, and more. Requirements:

What skill are we searching for?

- 2+ years of experience as an AQA Engineer;

- Experience with Python;

- Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Appium;

- Experience with writing test cases and using test case management software;

- Audio Background, experience working with DAW;

- Understanding of the basic Audio principles;

- Experience with using a bug-tracking tool, such as Jira;

- English Level – Upper-Intermediate;

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal English;

- Experience working as part of an Agile scrum team;

The perfect candidate also has:

- Experience with the Squish testing tool;

- Proficient with Windows and Mac OS platforms;

Nice if has:

- Experience with Java;

- Experience with qt/qml framework;

- Previous experience working as part of a multi-cultural, distributed team;

- Audio-related background/hobby;

- Passion for music, audio, or media.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a talented Python/Squish Automation QA to be a member of the Audio Products development team, which creates and maintains several products in our Audio product portfolio including cutting-edge audio production devices, integrated hardware/software systems, iOS/Android mobile applications, and desktop software such as Avid Pro Tools® among others.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for Automates testing and maintaining mobile applications running on macOS, iOS, and Android. Typical tasks may include Autotests creation, running, maintaining, management, and contributing to the overall quality of the product.

To join our team, you must have a good understanding of automated testing tools and testing theory, test management tools, experience with Python and Squish, test an eye for detail, and extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability.
