About the role:
As a Back End Developer, the ideal candidate would be creative, eager to learn and even more eager to share their knowledge.
Integrating a large number of external shipping carrier APIs and legacy FTP systems from the shipping and logistics industries.
This is a fully remote role — as a highly distributed team we are used to communicating and collaborating online.
Build scalable platforms to help the business grow
Maintain and improve our existing systems
Communicate with customers if there are specific carrier-related issues.
Required Skills:
Python 3
Postgres
Some cloud experience (we use Heroku)
GitHub
Excellent Troubleshooting and debugging skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience building RESTful APIs
Experience with unit testing
Writing, managing and enforcing documentation
Desired Skills
Jira:
Experience integrating SOAP APIs
Experience integrating RESTful APIs
