Junior Backend Engineer Offline

We are looking for a junior backend engineer to join our friendly Finmap team!

As a Junior Backend Engineer, you will be working on a product squad to develop new features and enhancements for Finmap. Our focus on 2022-2023 is new markets and new challenges, so a fast-growing environment, no bureaucracy, great ideas and a lot of freedom are key factors that motivate you to grow with us.

You should demonstrate the mastery of the fundamentals of computer science and be comfortable implementing and shipping end-to-end features and fixing complicated issues with light supervision from a senior engineer. We are looking for self-motivated team members who crave a challenge and feel excited about rolling up their sleeves to realize our potential.

This is a backend position, so you must have a good understanding of the backend of our application. And no worries if you have less commercial experience as our team will help you to get such an experience soon.

What are you going to be responsible for?

- Work directly with an Engineering team and other software engineers as part of a product squad

- Be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively in team with a product manager, product designer, quality engineer, and other team members of the squad

- Operate in a fast-moving environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements

- Experience designing, building, and operating production services

- Experience building and operating existing product features, with unit test coverage

- Participate in team scrum events (daily, sprint planning demo and etc)

We Are Looking For You If You Have:

- JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS experience

- A strong understanding of OOP, SOLID

- Experience with Git and GitHub or GitLab

- Container services such as Docker and MongoDB experience (a plus!)

- PubSub/Eventing pattern experience (a plus!)

- 1+ year of commercial professional experience

- Nice to have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar field)

- Ideally to have Experience with Nest.js and Integration experience with public API (Apple APIs, Google APIs).
