SysOps Engineer (Windows, VMware vSphere) Offline

ABCloudZ is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who will play an important role in delivery processes. We are looking to hire a team member who will bring passion and dedication to the job.

1) Experience

2+ years of technical support experience

3+ years of System Administrator experience

2) OS

Advanced Windows and basic Linux administration experience.

3) Virtualization

Experience with VMware vSphere 6+, Hyper-V.

4) Databases

Basic experience with SQL: MSSQL

5) Network skills

Strong networking administration skills, OSI and TCP/IP model, VPN tunnels

6) Scripting

Strong exptertise of Bash, PowerShell. Python, Ruby or Golang is advantage

7) Monitoring

Experience with monitoring systems: WhatsUp Gold, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, etc.

Will be an advantage:

1) SonicWall firewall configuration experience

2) WhatsUp Gold administration experience

3) Rapid 7 and OSSEC administration experience

4) IaC and Provisioning: experience with Ansible. Chef and Puppet is advantage

5) Soft skills: clean, clear, friendly and professional communication; capabilities of organizing working schedule and tasks execution roadmap; strong problem-solving skills, team player, delivering on time

6) Advanced English (written and verbal). At least Upper-intermediate

7) Bachelor's degree in computer science.

Responsibilities

• Drive and develop customer-facing communication.

• Clarify customer's expectations and make commitments towards the expectations and meet customer's expectations and given commitments;

• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions.

• Refactoring, optimization and automation of on-permise infrastructure;

• Setting up servers, instances, environments on-premise and in the VMware;

• Creation of scripts / functions for setting up servers, instances, environments using configuration management tools to automate processes;

• Automation of regular tasks (backup and the others);
