Cisco IP Telephony Engineer (Senior) Offline

Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage and keep Cisco IP Telephony system operational

• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure pro-active communications, training and good documentation are available to the user population.

• Ensure telephony service reliability by resolving trouble tickets escalated from Tier1/helpdesk engineering, in the UCC area

 

Required skills:

• Expert/working knowledge and experience with Cisco IPT suite

• Proficient with Webex Calling configuration and troubleshooting

• Intermediate level IP networking knowledge

• Be familiar with:

o Cisco Real-time Monitoring tools

o Cisco CDR tools

• Be able to set up and pull custom Call Detail Record reports

• Write Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Articles, as needed, for support staff

• Be able to troubleshoot Cisco UC system, including

o Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection

o Gateways/CUBEs

o Webex Control Hub

o Expressways

o Cisco Directory Connector

• Experienced with configuring

o Cisco Unity Connection Auto attendant

o Update user/phone config

o Call routing changes

• Knowledgeable with Quality of Service, as applicable to UCC

• Webex client proficiency

o Be able to capture and analyze Wireshark, Wbx Tracer, Fiddler

• Security concepts knowledge

o Be able to act on certificate expirations, CSR generation etc.
