QA Auto Engineer (Hospitality sphere) — ISsoft Ukraine (offline)

About product:

The project develops data-intensive solutions used to manage complex dynamic pricing in the hotel, event and parking industries.

QA Engineer will participate in the testing of a state of the art Next Generation Integration (NGI) engine, a key component Revenue Management System that delivers scientific pricing decisions at the room type and rate code level to drive optimal revenue performance for major hotel chains. NGI is responsible for intake of hotel reservation and pricing data, integration with G3 and delivery of the results to various property management systems through standard and proprietary interfaces (REST-based/SOAP-based/real-time streaming/etc.)

Additionally, QA Engineer will participate in testing of G3 — a multi-user, multi-tennant, analytics centric web application. System components to be tested include a real-time, highly available integration platform build on SpringIO.

Requirements:

3 + years in Software testing
1+ years of experience with automated and manual testing of web applications
Hands on experience with relational DB and writing SQL queries
Experience with manual testing of REST and/or SOAP API’s
Exposure n cloud technologies (AWS CloudFront and S3, Lambda, Terraform, etc.)
Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodology
Exposure to CI/CD, utilizing Jenkins or similar tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proactive, self-directed, detail-oriented, independent worker with strong interpersonal skills.

Technologies/skills:

Experience with or willingness to learn automated testing
At least basic understanding of relational and no-SQL databases (preferrably, SQL Server and Mongo DB)
Comfortable working with SQL
Java + RestAssured.

Your responsibilities:

Quality mindset is a must, along with ability to dig into technical and non-technical requirements to evaluate and define quality requirements and execute test plan to meet them
Work with developers to create test plans for user stories
Perform manual and automated regression testing
Design and carry out performance and load tests
Assist with a diagnosis of defects encountered in Production.

It will be a plus:

Hospitality domain experience
Experience in configuration of Mock services
Experience with Postman
English level — minimum B1 +.
