Senior Scala Developer responsible for creation/development software solutions with highest possible technical quality. Create technical designs for features of small to medium complexity. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project gives mobile operators a robust set of cloud applications to manage roaming from data collection over clearing and settlement to cash. Our data platform consists of a robust set of cloud applications designed to automate and optimize all workflows needed to address the day-to-day demands of running a roaming business. And it delivers operational excellence, compliance, data privacy, financial optimization, and connection to the international roaming community.

Technology stack: Java Core, Scala 2.11, SQL, Hadoop – Kudu, Hadoop – HDFS, AVRO, Parquet, Spark, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MSTR, RHEL, Ansible, Gitlab runner, Maven, Grafana, Prometheus, Graylog, Eclipse, PowerDesigner,JIRA, Toad, Confluence, Junit, Scalatest

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering
Implement solutions, create and contribute to technical design
Do bug fix and refactor solutions when needed
Follow engineering processes (code review, grooming and etc.)
Analyze business requirements, transform them into functional/non-functional requirements, provide estimates with further implementation
Identify and communicate required changes to business requirements
Support
Participate in the development of team staffing plans
Participate in the recruitment process during CV prescreening and interviews
Mentor less senior team members and participate in leveling of the team members
Company
Participate in technical interviews when necessary

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
4+ years of experience in Scala
Experience with: Tomcat, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Docker, GIT
Proven experience with Spark and Hadoop
Good communication skills and self-driven/sufficient technical solutions
Ability to execute on bigger projects without additional support
Understanding and participating in the DevOps culture
Creative thinking and ability to quickly grasp new concepts
Experience in Git or SVN
Ability, and willingness, to write good quality, clean code.
Experience in international projects and working with remote teams.
Working in Agile Software Development environment.
Knowledge of JAVA 8-11, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Core
Strong verbal and written English skills.

Team consist of 1 Java/Scala developers, 2 Scala developers

Full-time position, long-term project ( 12+months).
