Friendly Technologies builds device management software that telecom operators and ISPs use to manage millions of routers, gateways, and IoT devices (LwM2M, MQTT, OMA-DM, TR-069/TR-369 USP, CoAP, and HTTP protocols).
About the role
Want to move into QA from system administration or ISP support? This role is for you. You don't need QA experience. We'll teach you testing; you bring strong networking and hands-on hardware skills.
What you'll do
- Test our platform against real network hardware: routers, switches, firewalls, and CPE devices
- Set up and maintain test environments on Linux and Windows servers
- Reproduce, troubleshoot, and document issues reported by customers
- Check protocol behavior (TCP/IP, SNMP, HTTP, and others) with tools such as Wireshark
- Run basic database checks in Oracle and MySQL
Write clear bug reports and test cases in English, and work closely with developers and support
What we're looking for
- English good enough to speak, read, and write technical documentation
- Strong networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and similar hardware
- Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux servers
- Understanding of layer 3–7 protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.)
Basic knowledge of Oracle and MySQL (simple queries are enough)
Nice to have
Experience as a system administrator or ISP technical support engineer
