SharePoint Migration Analyst (offline)

Project Description

As part of a small team and reporting to the Migration Lead SME the candidate will be required to perform improvements to the Network Rail SharePoint Online (SPO) user sites.

Improvements include converting sites from Classic to Microsoft Modern (Hub & Spoke), migration of content from SPO to Assetwise (Bentley product) and converting SPO permissions from AD groups to
individual users.

Responsibilities

1. Working closely with the NR migration lead/SME in developing the tools and processes to deliver the project outcomes and ensuring that collateral is understood / usable by other DXC resources.

2. Good communication skills and build effective relationships and working with the impacted SPO content owners to achieve the changes required to their sites.

3. Delivery of migrations and conversions as agreed by the Migration lead and working with the project Manager.

4. Configuring and running of Sharegate and Powershell to deliver associated migrations/conversions.

5. Engaging with the SPO owner and obtaining agreement on successful completion.

Skills
Must have

Essential
- Experienced user of Sharegate and PowerShell and wider knowledge of migration tools that may be appropriate.
- Expert user and administrator of SharePoint Online.
- Significant proven track record in the use of tools and engagement with the business users.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good knowledge of working with Excel and large data.
- As the candidate will be working remotely they need to be a self-starter who can work with minimum guidance within an agreed framework to achieve the required outcome.
- Must be able to work UK working hours.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Bentley / Assetwise products.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
