Engineering Manager m/w/d (offline)

You lead by example naturally and build authority by being a competent leader, not the know-it-all techie. With Qubit-9 you will lead a team of a handful of engineers and related roles, just enough so your leadership effort is a bit above 50% with the rest doing engineering work.

What to do:
* You will do the work every Software Engineer does at Qubit-9: Build products from scratch in the area of distributed cloud solutions
* Communicate clearly and in such a way that people can act upon your information
* You know how to set goals and follow up on them
* You can communicate business problems and goals in such a way that team members who are not so business savvy understand you
* You can provide feedback to enable employee growth
* You know how to handle difficult situations and how to resolve conflicts without creating winners and losers

What to bring:
+ Significant experience building applications using Go, Java, C++, Rust or related languages
+ You know your way around concurrency, memory management and efficient network i/o
+ Have developed and operated large-scale infrastructure services
+ Are self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving
+ Strong experience in designing and developing APIs beyond “just JSON”
+ You are several years in the business and have lead teams
+ You practice servant leadership and bring a ton of experience
+ As an expert hiring manager you know how important the candidate experience is
+ You bring your own ideas how to improve the recruiting process proactively
! You understand cloud platforms architecture, ability to setup and run your own build to deployment chain
! You have experience designing and building infrastructure tech
! You have experience as a manager on a higher level (budgets, leading leads, etc)
