SAP CX Commerce/Hybris Developer (offline)

This is the chance for you to be involved in Techwave’s next steps as we go through a major growth in our business and company.

You would be part of Techwave’s Customer Experience practice, which is building a Center of Excellence for SAP CX and SAP CX Commerce Cloud. This is an opportunity to be part of a high performing team with the opportunity to learn new skills and be part of a group that is leading on the latest CX technologies including Headless e-Commerce architecture, Spartacus/Angular storefronts, with the chance to use tools such as Amplience for content management.

You will be working with Techwave’s major brand name clients in the US and EU, with opportunities to grow and develop within the teams, and work with colleagues in SAP Hybris/Commerce, as well as CX Sales, Marketing, Service and Data solutions.

The Role

- Work on SAP Commerce projects working on new implementations or supporting existing Continuous Improvement projects
- Be assigned tickets from Jira to add new functionality to the application or to fix defects in current features
- Be able to communicate well within the team both face-to-face and via electronic means, e.g. Slack, email, Jira. There may be a need to communicate with the client via Jira to get more information about a ticket
- Work closely with the Tech Lead to ensure that tickets are described correctly and feedback if they have suggestions for improvements to the implementation
- Be willing to own a feature through the development life-cycle, from requirements gathering to implementation, testing and post-release support
- Review pull requests for peers and feedback with any comments and suggestions
- Be aware of current coding standards and write code that passes Sonar quality gates
- Write unit tests when appropriate and endeavor to achieve full coverage of new code
- Join sprint planning meetings to help elaborate ticket detail and estimate the effort required for stories, tickets and tasks

Skills & Experience

- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- At least 4 years production experience in software engineering in e-Commerce with JavaEE technology stack
- Solid understanding of the e-Commerce domain, advanced knowledge of Hybris with at least 2 projects using SAP Hybris 6.7+
- Programming languages: Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
- Experience of Testing using JUnit, AssertJ or Mockito, or similar tools
- Excellent understanding of Spring Framework especially MVC, Security, Integration
- Understanding of http protocol and how web applications work
- Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket)
- Experience of working with multi-tier environments (Dev, PreProd and Prod systems)
- A good level of English (pre-intermediate) and/or willingness to improve your English

Beneficial

- Knowledge of Content and Personalisation web tools such as Apttus, Celum
- SAP Certified Development Professional or SAP Commerce Cloud Developer qualifications
- Experience in at least one project using SAP Commerce Cloud 1905 or higher would be a plus
- Experience working on a site that is deployed to CCV2 or involved in a project that involved migration from on-premise to cloud
- Experience with a SAP Hybris project that is using or deploying Headless e-Commerce with Spartacus and/or PWAs would be a huge bonus

- The company works generally in US (EST) timezone, so flexibility on working hours will be required (start 10:00am/11:00am UA time)
