QA Engineer (offline)

Description

As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing execution for our e-commerce platforms, microservices, and all other customer-facing services, to ensure a premium quality experience to our millions of users. As part of an agile, cross-functional team, your role will also incorporate coaching your teammates in quality awareness, best practices, and test workflows. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies and concepts such as React-based micro frontends, server-side rendering, self-contained systems, fully event-driven architecture based on Apache Kafka, containerized applications orchestrated by Kubernetes, and Istio service meshes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aligning closely with our test architect on the test strategy for a state-of-the-art e-commerce platform and supporting the teams with strategic and technical expertise;
Test design, testing on all levels e-2-e and API, and relevant feedback on the code quality on all layers and environments;
Functional, integration manual testing through UI and on API level (SoapUI, PostMan);
Reviewing and analyzing documentation. Requirements validation;
Bug high level analyzing, logs analyzing (Kibana, SCP);
System Performance monitoring (NewRelic);
Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Deep understanding of the development processes and software lifecycle;
Good knowledge of different test design methods, techniques, and types;
Understanding of web technologies: HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/JSON;
3+ years of experience in the field of Quality Assurance of Software;
Strong Agile Testing mindset and full-stack thinking, spreading the quality awareness in your team;
Experience with: bug trackers, version control systems, SQL;
Knowledge about state-of-the-art testing tools, frameworks, strategies, and approaches;
Passion for knowledge sharing and willingness to coach other team members in best practices, code quality, and test tools, frameworks, manual and automated testing skills;
Strong communication skills, experience, and joy from working in Agile environments.
