Middle Automation Test Engineer (Python) Offline

Project Overview:

 

You will become a part of a highly skilled international team. We take part in full cycle testing of the new generation navigation software running on the car head unit. Based on powerful location SDK and QT framework, application is responsible for rendering the vector maps, with or without using a data connection, and provides route calculation, places search, turn-by-turn guidance capabilities as well as access to advanced online services such as dynamic navigation, route optimization due to traffic conditions and incidents, public transit, etc.

We strongly believe in Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Automation in our team. Although we practice automation on every level and automate tests and deployments all the way up to production, manual and E2E testing is significant part of our activities as well.

 

Responsibilities:

- Take over of existing test automation suites from Maintenance team and develop them further to cover more scenarios;

- Testing for SW and map data releases;

- Maintenance, monitoring and execution of automated tests;

- Root cause analysis of failed tests and report issues/take corrective actions;

- Create test reports, defect troubleshooting and follow up;

- Maintain test related documentation.

 

Requirements:

- 2+ years of overall professional experience in QA;

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes (BDD, Gherkin etc.);

- 2+ years of experience in software automation testing;

- Experience in mobile applications testing for Android and the relevant tools (adb etc.);

- Programming skills: bash, Python;

- Deep knowledge of software testing related best practices;

- Well-organized, details-oriented and a strong team player;

- Intermediate level of English;

- Ability to work independently with no supervision.

 

Nice to have:

- Experience with continuous integration (preferably Jenkins) and source control systems (preferably git);

- Experience with code review support systems;

- Experience in embedded software (especially automotive related);

- C++ programming skills.

 

Higher Education:

- Bachelor's Degree.
