Senior General QA Engineer (offline)

Our client is a US-based financial technology provider of SaaS-based trading services for hedge funds, large asset managers, mutual funds, and brokers. The system is broker-neutral and is designed to handle multiple asset classes and changes in market structure. Leading expert in SaaS-based technology for financial markets that improves access and fully automates workflows - resulting in greater efficiencies, secure access, and lower costs. We’ve been working with this client for several years, and now we’re extending our QA team.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience
• Strong desire to learn and share new tools and techniques
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
• Experience in testing desktop Java applications
• Great problem-solving abilities
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and best practices
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service, outstanding teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• OOP/automation/scripting languages/programming concepts basic knowledge is a must
• Able to learn our automated scripts and perform basic maintenance (add/update/delete test cases)
• English — Upper-Intermediate level and higher

Nice to have:

• Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol knowledge
• Experience in fintech, awareness of the domain-specific terminology

Responsibilities:

Support development efforts of the dev team including:

• Manual testing of new features and fixes
• Perform performance testing of various infrastructural system components and modules
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the highest quality
• Provide assistance and leadership to the rest of the Development staff on matters concerning QA technologies
