Since 2006, Mechanic Advisor has grown to become the leading automotive directory in the US, connecting consumers to local repair shops and offering over 100,000 customer reviews. Fast forward to today, Mechanic Advisor has launched a complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing suite, complete with text messaging, email automation, direct mail integration, reputation management, appointment reminders, declined/recommended services, and many other features. Our product teams consist of 30+ people overall. The team in Lviv consists of 11 members: 5 .Net Developers, 2 Front End Developers, 2 UX/UI Designers, 2 QA/AQA.
About the opportunity:
We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer on full-time to join our team based in Lviv.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customers base.
If you have a growth mindset and often take initiative to improve something that you see isn’t working well for your team. You react constructively to design critiques and enjoy working as a team to improve the outcomes.
If you have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile and graphic design, we’d like to meet you.
What you’ll do:
➢ Work on various types of digital products, including responsive websites and internal CRM system, as well as printed products, such as flyers, postcards, exhibition stands.
➢ Deliver solutions that are accessible for web and mobile devices.
➢ Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns, and attractive user interfaces.
➢ Work alongside our designers and developers to ensure that the UI design direction is in line with the proposed product experience.
➢ Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
➢ Identify and troubleshoot UX problems.
➢ Stay up to date with UI/UX trends and incorporate these where applicable.
When considering your past experience, this is what we’ll be looking for:
➢ A minimum of 2 as a UI/UX and Graphic Designer.
➢ A portfolio that exhibits your creative potential across a variety of platforms (eg. web, mobile, graphic design). We’d like to see examples of how you’ve creativity responded to a complex brief, or challenging content.
➢ Up-to-date knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Programs (specifically XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
➢ A good understanding of general design principles, composition rules, knowledge of color theory, visual hierarchy, grid theory, and typography.
➢ Understanding of layouts, navigation, architecture, and interactivity of different interfaces.
➢ Critical thinking related to problem-solving. The ability to analyze and propose solutions to specific situations.
➢ Passion for design, exceptional attention to detail, and focus on the quality of work.
➢ Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
➢ English level intermediate and higher.
It Will be a plus:
➢ Experience with illustrations.
➢ Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
