QA Automation Lead (Java), Digital Identity Solutions Offline

About the vacancy

 

DataArt is putting together a team which will enhance and maintain a modern stack and microservices architecture. The client is looking to upgrade their currently existing platform to support cybersecurity solutions.

 

We are looking for an experienced and open-minded professional with a strong knowledge of test methodologies and software release cycles. Experience with testing in a microservices environment and with end-to-end contract-based user testing is a big plus.

 

Our client is a global technology company which provides its services worldwide to top-tier banks. Its culture is very startup-like — the company was founded less than 10 years ago. The company’s mission is to empower every end-user with a unique intellectual identity solution which covers web, mobile and other.

 

We are going to launch a few SCRUM teams, which will consist of high-quality backend developers (Java), frontend developers (the latest version of React), QA engineers, DevOps engineers (AWS), and Product owners. Overall team expertise is 70% senior level. The plan is to build a highly professional and performing team that can add value to the Product.

 

Responsibilities

- Deliver a client test automation strategy to the team

- Accurately estimate test automation work during sprint planning

- Ensure the team reports on test execution, coverage, defect densities, and open defect counts

- Own test coverage and technical debt for the team

- Using automation at every turn to keep regression at bay

- Lead defect triage during software delivery

 

Must have

- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance

- Experience and desire of setting up QA Automation strategy and processes on organization level

- Experience in leading QA Automation teams

- Experience working with Java

- Solid knowledge of manual and automated testing best practice techniques, tools, and processes (Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Gatling, Postman, CI/CD, Git, Jira, Confluence, Spring, JUnit, mock libraries, Linux, Bash)

- Proven working experience with OOP, Agile, TDD and ATDD/BDD

- Experience in some of the following types of testing; Highly transactional platforms, functional, API, acceptance, contract, cloud infrastructure, security, data integrity, performance, resilience

- Critical thinker

- Experience working in distributed teams, excellent communication skills

- Independence, sense of ownership, ability to make decisions without a supervisor
