Project: Betting Models

It is a new project which aims to build statistical forecasting models that help to provide liquidity for the sports betting industry. It is also about continuously creating and testing new betting approaches and strategies based on real industry data, performing sports analytics research, and closely collaborating with other teams, like data analysts, traders, technologists, etc.

Technical stack:

Python for Data Analysis (pandas, numpy, scipy), SQL, Google BigQuery

Requirements:

— 2+ years of relevant experience in data science or data analytics

— Strong mathematical and modelling skills

— Knowledge of statistics and probability theory

— 1+ year experience in Python for data science (pandas, numpy, jupyter)

— Good skills in data visualization (e.g. matplotlib, seaborn, plotly)

— Master of Science in Math/Statistics/Computer Science/ Engineering

Nice to have:

— Familiarity with Sports, and desire to work in Sports related projects;

— Hands-on experience with analysis of time series data;

Responsibilities:

— Develop and implement predictive models to address business and engineering problems;

— Extract data from different data sources;

— Review and recommend improvements to existing math models;

— Present mathematical reports on models performance
