Overview of the Position
Under the supervision of the CTO, Data Scientist will provide comprehensive analysis of current state of the product, identify prospective data sets, Data Science methodologies, algorithms, tools and infrastructure needed to generate models to support the planned Data Science and ML-based expansions.
What you will do: (Duties and Responsibilities)
-Participate in defining and executing the data engineering roadmap.
-Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
-Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms, integrate them efficiently into our product.
-Design, write, own and maintain production grade models/code to support forecasting/categorization/optimization models.
-Review and ensure code quality, and overall product quality.
-Work on POC's, try out core data models that can power operational and exploratory data analyses.
-Define appropriate metrics to measure model effectiveness and its alignment to our goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
-4+ years of successful data science experience
-Experience with/good knowledge of NLP, pattern recognition, deep learning and other ML technologies
-Excellent programming skills, expert in Python/Java/R
-Degree in Math / Statistics / Physics
Nice to have
-A sense of urgency and ownership over the product
-Proactive, high-energy, competitive, and creative individual
-Driven to outperform; dedicated to self-improvement
-Experience in a remote SCRUM team involving daily meetings, grooming, planning, etc
-English level: Intermediate or higher
