Middle to Senior Erlang or Elixir Engineer for payment product project Offline

Headquartered in Estonia, we run offshore R&D centers in Kyiv and Lviv. Our team is 50% remote and distributed. We specialize in flexible interaction exclusively with international clients (we cover industries from commercial aviation to fintech) thanks to a multinational support group of experts and management.

 

Currently, we are looking for an Erlang or Elixir Engineer.

 

About the project: General maintenance on existing Elixer-based application. New product features on an existing platform.

 

The stack of the project:

Languages: Erlang, Elixir, Java, Ruby, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, etc;

Logging services/analytics: Splunk; SumoLogic; Prometheus; Grafana.

 

As an Erlang/Elixir Engineer, you will be working across our entire stack, so a real passion to drive the product and technology forward is something that we value. You will work with maintenance, new features, new products, and doing code development on applications as well as infrastructure automation.

 

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related

field;

- 3+ years of experience in software development;

- 1+ years in an Agile development environment.

 

Obligations:

- Help design and develop the core systems for both the back and front end;

- Create features, enhancements and fix bugs on the flagship product;

- Create features, enhancements and fix bugs on new products;

- Ensure the optimal functioning and continual enhancement of our systems by

responding rapidly to potential issues and changing business needs;

- Client's platform, both code, and infrastructure, alongside your fellow Engineers;

- Support internal Stakeholders with technical platform queries;

- Be part of a small distributed team of Engineers using Agile practices to organize your work;

- Perform code reviews on your peer’s code;

- Build test harnesses to make sure delivered code can be predictably retested in an automated fashion;

- Work very closely with the Product Owner to make sure you are working on the right priorities;

- Be part of the evolution of Technology Capabilities.

 

Will be a plus:

- Experience in Phoenix;

- Experience with MySQL;

- Experience with Redis;

- Experience working in Amazon Web Service environments (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk,

RDS,...);

- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible;

- Experience working with Heroku;

- Understanding of basic financial concepts;

- Hands-on experience with enterprise-class software running significant transactional volumes.

 

Work conditions:

- Core hours 09:00 to 16:00, the expectation is that a candidate is self-organizing and committed to delivering work.
