FPGA Engineer Offline

Responsibilities

 

Management of technical aspects within FPGA development projects

- Leading of FPGA work package according to defined objectives

- Planning and monitoring of FPGA work package progress and quality

- Checking compliance of FPGA plans against project objectives

- Contribution to project schedule planning

- Definition of Statement of Work for potential suppliers

- Interact as technical interface to the customer (national and international)

- Contribution to internal and external gate reviews and audits

- Provision of technical support for offer generation activities

 

FPGA Design and Verification Engineering

- Technical steering of FPGA team under the DO-254 Hardware Design Process

- Support to capture and detail high-level requirements for FPGA functionalities

- Develop FPGA specifications from higher-level requirements specifications

- Lead and contribute to detailed design and design implementation activities

- Leading of FPGA verification activities under DO-254 objectives

- Adaption of known test strategies for the FPGA verification

- Validation of test strategies against project and DO-254 objectives

- Definition of the verification environment for the virtual and physical FPGA verification

- Adapting of existing solutions to new applications by using established tools

- Support to develop new technical solutions by using new tools

- Steering of technical reviews on design life cycle data for FPGA work packages

 

Experience

 

- Analogue and digital circuit design (NXP microcontroller, MicroSemi and XILINX FPGAs preferred)

- VHDL, Verliog, and System Verilog FPGA programming

- FPGA verification methods (e.g., RTL, STA, Gate Level, and UVM)

- Following FPGA functions, data communication (RS486, ARINC429, CAN 2.0, Ethernet,

SPI, I2C), signal processing (ADC / DAC, FFT, butterworth filter, LVDT, and resolver, PWM), and control functions (current controller, speed controller, Field Oriented Control)

- Requirements based design and verification (preferably DOORS)

 

Profile

 

- Bachelor degree (minimum of six years of experience) or Master degree (minimum of three years of experience) in electronic engineering

- Experience in the Aerospace industry and DO-254 development

- B2 (CEFR) or higher level of English
