We are building an enterprise BI/Reporting module. This is a position that will enable us to write frameworks and its implementations for streaming and transforming high volume data among different databases. If you are an accomplished Java Developer with background in Big Data, or interested in learning, please apply for consideration

Responsibilities:

- Designing Domain Specific Language (DSL) framework and its
implementation for streaming and transforming data among different databases (Cassandra, Hive, Snowflake, etc.)
- Building and deploying scalable and reliable data pipelines to move large amounts of data
- Applying technologies like ANTLR grammar and visitor pattern to DSL
- New feature development and bug fixing for the existing functionality
- Participation in unit, integration, automation and functional testing
- Code review and contribution to architecture and design documents prepared by architects
- Interaction with business analysts, system architects and quality assurance to ensure the finalized requirements are clear, concise, comprehensive, unambiguous, and well-documented

Requirements:

- Theoretical and practical knowledge in programming technologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Must master the following skills and technologies:
- Java Core
- Apache Spark
- ANTLR
- OOP
- Experience with Big Data, relational databases
- SQL
- Maven
- At least Intermediate English level

The following skills would be a plus:

- Scala
- Hadoop
- Apache Hive
- Apache Kafka
- Cassandra
- Azure, AWS cloud technologies
- Experience in Insurance
