Our Client provides one of the world’s leading online video platforms, which gives a huge range of possibilities - for streaming, online presentations, live conferences, events, tutorials and trainings. The platform uses the most innovative and leading-edge browser-based video capture technologies to support Live Streaming of events that can support 1000’s of simultaneous viewers. Many of the same video pipeline technologies are used by organizations such as Amazon Video and Netflix. This platform encodes and streams millions of minutes of video presentations per year.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
2+ years as a software engineer
Strong experience with React, Mobx, ES6, ES5, typescript, Module bundlers (one of:rollup, webpack, browserify)
Experience with Backbone/Marionette(nice to have), Angular(nice to have), Grunt(nice to have), HTTP API, css/sass
Experience with modern Java 8 and Spring Framework 5 ecosystem
Experience with continuous integration and deployment
Solid knowledge of SDLC, agile practices and documentation
Solid experience with databases and writing queries (MySQL)
Intermediate + English level
Experience with Amazon Web Service(nice to have)

What’s the job?
Write code to connect to web services and databases including MySQL, using RESTful API and other technologies.
Ensure technical feasibility of tasks you work on and that they are clearly defined in collaboration with the product team
The primary focus will be back-end service development but should understand full-stack development and be able to complete tasks up and down the application technology stack if needed
Handling tasks of high-complexity and contributing in all phases of software development from envisioning through support

Overall Architecture is RESTful APIs serving JavaScript FE clients. There are quite a few Java Services that Run Async. There are several 3rd party systems involved.
Main framework used in Java is Spring Framework. There are quite a few we used, but these are standard in this world.
