Test Engineer Automation (with Python) Intermediate (offline)

Our client is a product company and a major player in the POS domain, servicing more than 100,000 food service sites in the USA and actively penetrating the European market (particularly the UK and Spain).

Our flagship product is the first POS Cloud-based solution covering all possible flows to run an Enterprise restaurant business.

POS Platform covers in-store, online, as well as mobile ordering for quick and table services.

The end market involves well over 100,000 onsite installations.

The project is based on using modern testing technology stack: JavaScript, Python, Mocha/Chai, Appium, Selenium, Web Driver.

Application suite includes:
• Cross Platform (Cordova/Electron) POS App
• Back of House solutions (NodeJS/Angular) (reporting, payroll, calculations, schedules)
• Mobile ordering (NodeJS/ AWS Lambdas
• Configuration (NodeJS/ Angular 2/ AWS Lambdas

Responsibilities:
Joining our team is an exclusive opportunity to work on a project where web and mobile testing are performed simultaneously, including different target platforms and devices.

Together with the team of developers, be responsible for project quality:
• Create an automation testing framework for the project
• Extend existing automation framework with new features
• Develop new automated tests for Selenium- and Appium-based testing, written in Python
• Execute, maintain and update automation tests
• Contribute to enhancing engineering practice in the CI/CD area
• Review and analyze test results
• Maintain all test-related test documentation
• Proactively obtain and clarify requirements as necessary
• Communicate and report daily task status updates to the client

Required skills:
• At least 3 years’ experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Good knowledge of the programming language (Python is preferable)
• Experience in development automated tests (Web/API/Mobile)
• Well-versed with test automation tools and platforms for testing web services
• Experience with SQL databases
• Experience with continuous integration tools (like Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar)
• Knowledge of source code management tools like Git
• Intermediate English, both spoken and written skills

Desired skills:
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience with Docker
•Bash scripting on Linux
•Experience with Cloud computing platforms (such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.)
