NodeJS Developer with AWS Lambda Offline

We work primarily with big enterprise companies, helping them to replatform their client-facing web applications to the modern technological stack, or build web applications for internal use. In most cases we work with modern frameworks and tools, like Angular or ReactJS. We also use NodeJS to build back-end for the front-end. Responsibilities:

- Develop clean, modular, and reusable code

- Innovate and enhance on-site functionality

- Communicate effectively across desks, teams, and departments

- Participate in agile development processes in SDLC, including: sprint planning, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions

- Provide technical expertise for microservices design and implementation in AWS

- Design and develop new and enhance existing backend API services using Node.js

- Participate in design and code reviews, and project planning.

- Work with multiple SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Develop new unit and integration tests.

- Work with source code control systems.

- Monitor the health, performance, availability of AWS Lambda microservices

- Bring industry best practices in terms of technology and process

Requirements:

- Deep understanding of JavaScript Core

- Upper-Intermediate English or higher

- Good communication skills

- Good problem-solving skills, initiative, and intellectual curiosity

- Have experience of building at least one project from scratch

- Experience with rolling out at least one project to production

- Experience with developing unit tests on at least one project with not less than 30% coverage

- Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative, and intellectual curiosity

- Leadership skills

- Understanding of Microservices Architecture and design.

- Understanding of integrating Databases with Serverless Microservices

- Understanding of ETL (Extract Transform and Load) using AWS S3 and Lambda

- Experience of Amazon Serverless Services (AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB Streams, API Gateway)

- Understanding of Asynchronous Processing through Messaging and Event Driven Architecture (SQS and Kinesis).

- Experience with Backend Data Processing Logic and Schedular (Cloud Watch, AWS Step Functions)

- Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript

- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns

- Experience of Apollo GraphQL Server

- Experience of Serverless framework

- Experience of unit and integration tests development with Jest/Jasmine

- Experience with Backend SQL Databases (MySQL, Amazon Aurora)

- Experience with Backend NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB)

- Experience with SQL queries performance troubleshooting.

- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (CloudWatch metrics, New Relic).

- Experience with agile development methodology

- Experience with Source Control (Git on CodeCommit)

Would be a plus:

- Proven ability to oversee a team of 3+ developers

- At least six months experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer on the project
