Senior Java Engineer (offline)

Must have:
5+ years of Java commercial experience
Excellent understanding of data stores, distributed systems, data modeling and their associated pitfalls
Good with AWS and DevOps infrastructure skills
Good with Micro-services, ideally at large-scaled
Agile software development experience
Ability to work in a cross-functional team
A desire to bring innovative solutions to the challenges of scaling the API and platform

Will be a plus:
Experience with PHP
Strong attention to detail
Professional that understands the importance of craftsmanship and incremental delivery
Comfortable with the uncertainty of working with new technologies
Strong and clear communicator that can listen to their team as well as clearly articulate their ideas
A sense of humor and the ability not to take yourself too seriously

Responsibilities:
Build services in Java
Conduct technical and code reviews and approve pull requests
Take specs and translate them into reality
Writing documentation for existing and new systems
Meeting with teams to stay in-sync on project requirements and timelines
