Senior Frontend Developer (JavaScript, React, TypeScript) (offline)

We are a young and rapidly growing sports technology business that has recently launched our platform to some major Australian sports, and are busy reshaping the way in which people participate in grass roots sports.

We work in non-corporate environment where each individual opinion is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape the product we are building, own the technology stack, and contribute to an iterative development process. We are seeking individuals who bring pragmatism and critical thinking to our fast paced environment.

Day-to-day, you will work with the product managers in Australia to understand product requirements, then design and implement the web interface in close collaboration with the development team members using primarily TypeScript, React & GraphQL.


Skills and competencies
* 4+ years of experience professional experience
* Demonstrate knowledge of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
* Familiarity with a framework such as React, Vue, Svelte and/or Angular
* Able to create flexible and responsive layouts that work cross-browser/device
* Some knowledge of frontend pipeline technologies e.g. npm, yarn, grunt, gulp, webpack, Sass, LESS
* Experience with a version control system e.g. git
* Experience using JavaScript to interact with APIs (GraphQL experience desirable)
* Pragmatic and considered when selecting and introducing technologies into a solution
* Some understanding of software design and architectural patterns
* Willingness to learn new technologies

Desirable
* Experience working within agile teams a plus
* Experience working within long-lived product teams
* Experience developing SaaS or multi-tenant products
* Experience working with TypeScript or other typed languages
* Exposure to AWS services and hosting
* Exposure to testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
* Able to write clean and testable code
