Node.js Developer (Middle/Senior) Offline

About the project

Tawk.to - the world’s #1 business messaging application is expanding its engineering team and is seeking an experienced Backend Developer, with research and data analysis skills, to help shape the future of business communications.

Every day we get to build an array of awesome systems at scale, including search, concurrency, content organization, real-time metrics, deployment, and event-driven, low-latency, concurrent apps. Our current systems are mostly built on Node.js.

 

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain micro-service based solutions to meet business needs

- Participate in architecture and software design brain-storming sessions

- Utilize varying technologies to find the best solutions to problems

- Participate in code review of fellow developers

- Maintain coding standards and best practices

 

What we look for:

- Excellent JavaScript knowledge (server-side Node.js preferred)

- Experience in creating distributed, fault-tolerant systems

- Experience using NoSQL databases (MongoDB / Cassandra / Elasticsearch or others)

- Experience with TDD and test automation

- Solid understanding of code versioning tools (Git)

- Good command of English (written and spoken)

 

What is considered a benefit:

- Experience with running containerized applications (Docker)
