Test Lead\ Senior Test Engineer (IoT project) (offline)

The leading European heating technology company that develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of eco-friendly, energy-efficient solutions for indoor climate comfort in all types of property, plus components and solutions for intelligent heating and control in industry and infrastructure.


PROJECT
We bring smart climate solutions in sustainable energy in terms of wireless connectivity and intelligent control for any type of property, whether it is an apartment block, an industrial building, a hotel, or a country house to help reduce energy consumption for Client ’s customers and for society at large.

Technology Stack: C, C++, Linux userspace, RTOS (FreeRTOS), QML/QT, Wired (Modbus) and Wireless communication (ZigBee), HVAC controlling algorithms and not only.

A large balanced team of more than 20 people of Senior, Middle, and Junior positions: Project Manager, Developers, Business Analysts, Test Engineers. The team is organized per projects, however, as a result of cross-functionality and product’s similarity in the functionality we support each other when such a need arises.


RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADING ROLE, 50% WORKLOAD (EMBEDDED):
Develop and implement software test plans
Develop and implement KPIs to track progress
Lead other less experienced engineers in the test processes and test documentation design
Organize QA team work, including defining with PM and QA team priorities, regression scope and performance baselines
Track and report testing activities of QA team, communicate and manage the risks to the PM and Customer
Participate in requirements analysis sessions
Collaborate with Dev team, PM to influence processes
Collaborate with customer side QA team
Be trust person in communication with the Customer

SENIOR TESTER ROLE, 50% WORKLOAD (EMBEDDED):
Create and work with test documentation and traceability matrix
Perform functional, regression and smoke testing of the functionality using the emulator. Bugs reporting, track resolve bugs and their validation
Do cross-review of the test documentation
Attend weekly meetings with the team and Customer

REQUIREMENTS
Experience conducting testing activities according to established SDLC, report clear and thorough bugs
Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques
Good knowledge and experience in software test documentation
Good estimation skills
Experience in task management and tracking tools (Atlassian Jira and Confluence)
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience in testing of embedded systems is a plus
Upper-Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English
