About Client:
We offer people with private health insurance convenient and safe access to health care billing via app or web. Users can easily submit their invoices digitally, and we take care of the further processing, billing and customer service providing a seamless user experience. With the integrated “library” users receive a transparent overview of relevant digital health products and services, that are (partially) covered by their insurance.
The company is based in Vienna, Austria, and backed by an international team of venture capital firms and angels focused on medtech, fintech and insurtech. You’d join the team at an early stage and help shape this company together with a group of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities:
Improve our complete AWS infrastructure and CI/CD system;
Focus on topics like process automation, cloud operations and security configuration;
Take ownership of operating and monitoring our services and infrastructure;
Collaborate with other engineers, product managers and designers to craft a secure and scalable backend system;
Analyze and solve challenging problems across the code base, databases and infrastructure and continuously optimize our system;
Further develop and improve our existing microservices and implement new services or features.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend technologies and operations;
Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (Node.js);
Experience with cloud providers, particularly 1+ years with AWS;
Experience building and managing serverless applications;
Knowledge and good understanding of relational databases and SQL, key-value and document databases;
Experience in designing, developing and documenting APIs and systems;
Ideally experience with AWS VPCs, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS CI/CD services, AWS SNS/SQS, PostgreSQL, AWS DynamoDB.
Nice-to-have:
Relevant experience with payment systems or the fintech industry is a big plus.
Personal skills:
You have a positive and resilient attitude and you can work autonomously;
You are well-organized with a high level of attention to detail and quality, always aiming for efficient execution of tasks;
Fluent in English; other languages are advantageous as we are working in a fully international team;
Comfortable working both independently and on a team, within a fast- paced and flexible startup environment.
