Backend Engineer for DIIA Offline

Diia Company develops love marked brand for Ukrainians. The main product has almost 19 mln unique users. Our religion: few click public services, mobile first approach & re-engineering of bureaucracy.

We are looking for a responsible and independent Backend Engineer to strengthen the core team, who is passionate about Highload solutions and System Design, with a strong proficiency in Microservices Architecture, Node.js, TypeScript, and NoSQL/SQL.

Young & rather small company. Without bureaucracy, but with lots of freedom. Driven to build tools, approaches, and environment that will help create new government services in an extensible, maintainable, and scalable way. Day-to-day tasks vary from developing new directions with new architectural approaches to updating existing services due to new requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain backend systems and services.

- Implement and maintain scalable, efficient, and high-performance backend architecture.

- Cooperate with other engineers and teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.

- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using TDD practices.

- Design and implement database schemas and optimize database performance.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in Node.js development.

- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.

- Experience with NoSQL/SQL databases and their optimization.

- Experience with microservices architecture and highload optimizations.

- Experience with TDD/BDD practices and ability to write testable and maintainable code.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- gRPC experience would be a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Proficient English for intra-team code reviews and concise test descriptions
