Demand Response product engineer Offline

As a Demand Response product engineer, you will:

- Platform with profitable DR functionalities through the analysis of the different DR programs in the world and the implementation of the needed capabilities ensuring quality from an end to end perspective

- Recommend the introduction of new technologies, according to the architectural guidelines and best practices, helping the integration of new technological features and the fulfillment of new business opportunities

- Collaborate with internal key stakeholders to evaluate as-is and to-be state of each capability of the platform leveraging on gap analysis and internal platform performance measurement

- Work with business unit managers to understand project scope, suggest possible alternatives, and document each step of the design phase.

Support product release procedures and communication

 

Required qualifications:

- 5+ years of proven working experience on large cloud projects based on microservices leveraging services like Dynamo, Redshift, Lambda, Kafka/Kinesis, and EC2

- 2+ years of experience in the governance of complex solutions and projects for operators in the Energy & Utility sector

- Deep understanding of one (or more) of the following languages: JavaScript, C, Python, and Java

- Understanding of emerging IoT and Mobile technologies and communications protocols

- 5+ Experience working with external or internal customers to implement large-scale solutions and in pre-sales, customer-facing consulting, or other relevant technical experience

- Experience with IoT platforms and devices, middleware, device management, and related IoT/M2M/SCADA technologies

- Experience with IoT and mobile security technologies and vendors

- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL data stores

- Experience with source control, build systems, and testing tools

- Basic understanding of electric power concepts such as energy charges, demand charges, power factor, and energy storage systems

 

Will be a plus:

- Experience as a solution architect in the Energy & Utility sector working with utility residential energy efficiency, demand response, or distributed generation programs
